In the next major Solidres release, property owner can define a new custom field type for guest profile in backend: File upload, this new field type is very useful if the owner want to require guest digital documents like: passport or government ID to confirm the reservations.
This new feature will require Solidres v2.9.0 (the next major release) and Custom Field plugin v1.1.0.
Tags is one of the new features that we’ve been working on. It will be available for both properties and experiences with the Joomla com_tags integration. So what are tags’ use cases?
In Solidres, you can assign one category for your properties or experiences, it is good enough for many users, but others need an ability to assign properties and experiences to multiple categories. We can extend the current category system to support multiple category assignments, however, we think it is better to utilize Joomla’s com_tags for this purpose as it offers more flexibility and it also reduces the complexity for us to refactor the current category system.
For presentation: now you can create menu items that can show properties and experiences by tags (multiple tags are supported). It is good for your site content presentation and organization, it is also better in terms of SEO.
For searching: both properties and experiences Filter modules now support filtering by tags, that allows your guests to find their desired properties and experiences easier and quicker. You can use tags as properties and experiences’ features that your guests might be looking for.

We’ve been working with Joomla! a lot, and we look at the Joomla! admin screens almost every single day. To be honest, it is boring. The Joomla! admin template allows us to configure some colors using its parameters, but it is quite limited and it is also very time-consuming to find a good and satisfying color scheme, is there a better/quicker way? We asked and we answered by developing a new plugin called Admin Customizer, it has the following main features:

Adding support for Registration card has been requested multiple times by our users and now we are able to introduce it, please see details in below screenshot. Our Registration card feature allows you to design the card layout by dragging and dropping fields easily and conveniently without touch any lines of code, it can be used by non-technical staffs as well. There are many predefined fields to choose from. When your guest check-in at your accommodation, you can just print the registration card and all the guest’s info will be filled automatically, your guest only need to sign it, it helps to make the check-in process faster than before. This feature will be available in Invoice & PDF plugin v1.2.0 (Joomla).
